Podcast #12 – An Interview with Kristin Rosenbach, ATC, Stott Pilates Certified Instructor
In this week’s podcast, I’ve interviewed Kristin Rosenbach, ATC, Stott Pilates Certified Instructor. Kristin is an instructor in my Online Classroom, and she helps students take the handling information I’m giving out turn theory in to action in a very real way.
Kristin not only teaches a class in the Online Classroom (well, really, she teaches THREE classes, AND she provides ongoing support to all students who have taken her classes – like having your own personal trainer!), she also has helped design MY fitness program – a fitness program I can take on the road with me during my travels, do in a motel room, do on the weekends while at trials, and at home. She’s not only helped me with my fitness, she’s combined my goal planning strategies presented in Clear Mind (my goal setting workbook) with her material and helped me better incorporate my fitness goals in to my agility calendar!
Training movements, not muscles
This is one of the guiding principles behind what Kristin does, and it’s why she calls her classes FUNCTIONAL FITNESS. According to Kristin, it’s not just fitness, it’s FUNCTIONAL fitness, designed to help agility handlers improve their abilities in:
- Getting around a course
- Reducing risk of injury
- Communicating effectively with their dogs using their bodies
- Improving their ability to have FUN on a course
- Improving their abilities in everyday life
