Lilliputian en Paris

While in the Adidas store on the Champs D’Elysee, I modeled a little bit of large gear 🙂 I also got a skort to match my uniform!

It’s official, I’m a country bumpkin.  Paris is overwhelming for me.  I’m glad we’re staying out in the countryside so I can escape the city at the end of the day, and that I’m not IN the city that long, as I stay behind with the dogs while David and Marcy go in to the city, and then follow a few hours later. It’s not that I’m not adventurous, because I did try (and enjoy) some escargot last night:

It was literally like having a morning walk in the forest in my mouth; the cool, damp, earthy smell of the Autumn.  I know it doesn’t sound all that great, but trust me, it was a nice taste and I’d do it again.  And to think, escargot was the scariest of the two things on my list to try, tartare de boeuf being the other. Maybe I’ll stick to escargot. I’m glad that each morning I can take Solar to the forest for a morning off-leash jog; I suck in as much of the country air as I can before heading in to the city.  I’ve just never liked big cities, even if it IS Paris.  Too many people, lights, sounds, noises…I did enjoy Versaille, even though I thought it was too much too much…and I did enjoy the Arc de Triomphe yesterday as well.

My country escape ends tomorrow, as we’re spending Saturday night in Paris. I’m sure I’ll be happy to leave Paris, although I’m also sure I’ll enjoy the sights. I am looking forward to a spa visit tomorrow 🙂 And then, Sunday….we meet up with the Team!
