Big Fish, Little Pond
On Saturday, instead of packing for my trip to Germany, I spent the day finishing up the swimming pool project I started Friday. Jester, Solar, and Juno all love to swim, and with my time being somewhat tight these days, I figured that the gas money and time spent driving almost an hour each way to water on a regular basis could be better spent on a pool I could have right in my back yard.
With the pool filled up Friday evening, all that remained was to make a safe entry/exit for the dogs. I built a little deck on Saturday, complete with stairs, and then submerged a plastic shelving unit inside the pool so the dogs could have a resting place and exit step to get back on to the deck from inside the pool. Worked like a charm, and the dogs LOVED it!
By the time I get back from Germany, the pool water should be nice and warm (or at least warmer than 50 degrees at the bottom!), and I’ll have a convenient way to swim the dogs at least every other day, although they’re going to want to swim EVERY day…now here’s the real trick, can you tell Juno and Solar apart? 🙂 Click the images below to enlarge.
