Gonzo was a rescue dog that made an amazing turnaround when I got him in 1998, and was the best pet anybody could ever want. He kept my mom’s feet warm and was her gardening companion from 2008 to 2012.
RIP DR. GONZO
?? 1998 – APRIL 17, 2012
Gonzo, Daisy’s first dog, was a rescued red and white border collie from a local shelter, age and origins unknown. He was found matted and smelly on the side of a highway after local sheep farmers called to say he would be shot if he was found near their sheep again. Gonzo had some interesting behaviors when he first came home, like urinating when people bent over him, and running to hide under the bed when he first heard a clicker. After enrolling him in a local agility class in Corvallis, where Daisy was attending OSU, there was no turning back! Gonzo has accomplished his AX and his AXJ, and is just one leg short of a MAD.
